Walter Akira "Koby" Kobayashi Walter Akira “Koby” Kobayashi, 89, of Honolulu passed away peacefully on September 8, 2019 at home. Walter was born on October 2, 1929. He graduated from Punahou School and attended the University of Hawaii where he earned his Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration. Walter was an army veteran and retired owner and food broker of Hawaii Far East Brokerage, Inc. Walter’s love was his wife, Lois, of 64 years, his children and grandchildren. He especially enjoyed traveling with his grandchildren, watching their sporting events and spending time with them. Walter is survived by his wife Lois, his daughters, Cynthia (Michael) Wo and Naomi (Michael) Mihara, his grandchildren, Kristen (Andrew Beck) Wo, Kimberly (Damien Pherigo) Wo, Kelsey Wo, Staci Anne Mihara and Christopher Mihara, and his brother Paul (Val) Kobayashi. Private services were held on October 10, 2019. |
