responsible for reproduction of the electronic files as required for preparation of the Bid.

Description of the project: Renovation of Easter Seals Hawaii Makiki Service Center. Renovations include, but are not limited to; restoration of the building and its foundation due to flooding; construction of an improved drainage system around the building which will remove the deteriorated planter area and debris caused by previous flooding; an improved gutter system on the building perimeter to eliminate
future flooding. CDBG funds will be used to renovate a center which will service approximately 185 individuals with intellectual disabilities and will be open weekdays from 8am to 5pm.

This project will be funded under: Title I of the Housing and Community Development Act of 1974 (Public Law 93-383). Contractor will be required to comply with all applicable current State and Federal labor standards in effect at the time the Contract is executed.

To be eligible to bid, the prospective bidder must provide written notice of bidder’s intention to bid. Bidders shall be licensed in accordance with Chapter 444, HRS, relating to the licensing of Contractor. The Owner’s Representative must receive such written notice by 2:00 p.m. on Tuesday, October 1st, 2019, via email at Steve@mc-arch.com or via fax at (808) 529-0907.

A pre-bid conference and site inspection will be held on Friday, Sept 20, 2019 at 10:00 am on site. This will be the only opportunity to visit the site during the bid period, therefore attendance at this meeting is encouraged.

All bids shall be accompanied by a bid security of the amount not less than five percent (5%) of the bid amount.

Bidder’s attention is directed to Act 352, SLH 1997, relating to the requirements for tax clearances from State Department of Taxation and the Internal Revenue Service, as a prerequisite to entering into a contract and final payment of contract.

Bidders must demonstrate successful completion of project/s involving federal funding (working knowledge of Davis-Bacon wages).

Bidders must demonstrate familiarity and compliance with ADA regulations.

Qualified small and minority business firms and firms owned by women are encouraged to submit bids.
