JAMES SATOSHI YAMADA 82, of Makakilo, passed away peacefully on May 30, 2019 at Maunalani Nursing & Rehabilitation Center, Surrounded by his loved ones. He was born in Pepeekeo, Hawaii and was a U.S. Army Veteran & retired from Civil Service. James was a Freemason, Shriner, fisherman & proud owner of a hole-in-one at Barber’s Point Golf Course. While stationed in Germany, he met & married the love of his life, Brigitte Richter, some 60 years ago. He is survived by his wife, Brigitte; children: Shirley (Guy) Amimoto & Brian (Cindy Gutierrez) Yamada; and 2 grandsons: James & Matthew. Preceded in death by his son, James N. Yamada lll. Visitation 5 p.m.; Services 6 p.m. on Thursday, June 27, 2019 at Hosoi Garden Mortuary. Inurnment 2 p.m. on Friday, June 28, 2019 at the National Memorial Cemetery of the Pacific. We love you Papa!
