NOTICE OF PUBLIC MEETING AND AVAILABILITY OF PROPOSED PLAN
SITE 3 EAST GULCH DISPOSAL AREA, JOINT BASE PEARL HARBOR-HICKAM
WAHIAWA ANNEX, OAHU, HAWAII
The Navy announces a public meeting at the Leilehua High School Library (1515 California Avenue, Wahiawa, Hawaii) on June 13, 2019 at 7 p.m., to discuss the Proposed Plan for the Site 3 East Gulch Disposal Area, Joint Base Pearl Harbor-Hickam Wahiawa Annex, Oahu, Hawaii. The site is part of the Naval Computer and Telecommunications Area Master Station Pacific National Priorities List.
The Navy invites the public to review and comment on this Proposed Plan. Investigation and cleanup have been completed, and the Navy has determined that chemicals attributable to past Navy activities are no longer present at concentrations that could threaten human health or the environment. Therefore, the Navy proposes that no further action be taken at this site.

The 30-day public comment period for the Proposed Plan is from May 30, 2019 to June 27, 2019. Verbal and written comments can be provided at the public meeting. Alternatively, interested agencies, individuals, and groups unable to attend the public meeting can provide written comments no later than June 27, 2019 to:

After carefully considering all comments received during the public comment period, the Navy will select a remedy for the site, in coordination with the State of Hawaii Department of Health and Environmental Protection Agency. The selected remedy for the site will be presented in a Record of Decision.
