Notice of Availability: The U.S. Department of Agriculture, Animal and Plant Health Inspection Service, Wildlife Services (WS) program has issued a Decision and Finding of No Significant Impact (FONSI) for the Environmental Assessment (EA), “Pilot Project: Evaluation of Non-lethal Bird Damage Management at Hokuala Resort, Kaua`i, Hawai`i.” Based on the analysis in the EA and agency review of public comments, WS-Hawai`i has selected Alternative 2, “Implement Non-lethal BDM at Hokuala Resort for Protection of Aviation”. Alternative 2 allows WS-Hawai`i to conduct the pilot project and evaluate the use of non-lethal harassment to reduce threats to aviation and human safety through June of 2020.
