ROBERT JOSEPH KAUHANE Robert Joseph Kauhane born in Hana, Maui, raised on Oahu, passed away in Kaneohe, Hawaii on 19 January 2019. He retired from the United States Air Force as a Non-Commissioned Officer after serving 22 years. He also retired from the Department of Veterans Affairs in Honolulu after 20 years of service. Robert was a graduate of the Kamehameha School for Boys; Class of 1950. Robert is survived by his wife of 62 years, Charlotte Lois Drengenberg Kauhane; son, Robert L. Kauhane; daughter, Lori B. Noelani Kauhane; granddaughter Jessica Yuki Leolana Kauhane (Dustin) Furman, two great-grandsons; Robert and Miles Furman. Brothers Eugene Ronald and Harry Denis Kauhane, sister Velma Ann Warpole. Hanai grandson; Jon Kauhane (Brenda), and their children; Grant, Noah, Grace. Preceded in death by daughter Lee Ann Iwalani Kauhane, and sister Gladys Iwalani Slabaugh. Visitation at 9:30am, and Memorial Mass set for Saturday, 9 February 2019, 10:00am at St. Anthony of Padua Catholic Church, 148 Makawao St. Kailua, Hawaii 96734. No flowers, however, donations to St Francis Hospice will be appreciated.
