Burial Notice: Holualoa 1st Ahupua’a, North Kona District, Hawai’i Island, Hawai’i
Notice is hereby given that human remains were identified during an Archaeological Inventory Survey of 5.0-acres of land [TMK: (3) 7-6-021: 017 (por.)] in Holualoa 1st Ahupua’a, North Kona District, Hawai’i Island, Hawai’i. The lands are associated with LCA 7713, ‘Apana 43 awarded to Victoria Kamamalu Ka’ahumanu IV. Proper treatment shall occur in accordance with Hawai’i Revised Statutes, Chapter 6E regarding unmarked grave sites. The property owner proposes to preserve the burials in place for perpetuity, in accordance with a plan prepared in consultation with identified descendants and with the approval of the Hawai’i Island Burial Council and SHPD.
