69, of Mililani, HI formerly of Worcester, MA passed away on Tuesday, September 25, 2018 unexpectedly at Tripler Army Medical Center on Oahu, HI.

Domenica was born December 4, 1948 in Acri, province of Cosenza Italy, the daughter of Natale and Nunziata (Serbidio) Brindisi. At the age of ten, Domenica immigrated to the United States with her family and settled in Worcester, MA. She was a graduate of North High School. Domenica met James D. Favors, who was stationed at Fort Devens, and the two later married on November 17,1973 in Worcester. They settled in Mililani, HI after James’s last relocation with the army and spent 28 wonderful years on this beautiful island raising their family.

Domenica is survived by her husband of 44 years, James D. Favors, and her children, Rosina, Thomas, Sabrina and Catarina of Mililani, HI; her sister, Rosina Brindisi; her sister-in-law Elvira (DeMarco) Brindisi, both of Worcester, MA; and many nieces, nephews and extended family members in Worcester and Italy. Besides her parents, Domenica is predeceased by her siblings, Fancesca Silvestris and Demetrio Brindisi, Sr.

Domenica lived a simple life. She loved to cook and garden, and taught first grade religious education for 18 years. She wanted to live a good life, no matter how long she had. Her death was unexpected, but she lived life to the fullest. She was tenacious, hard-working, kind, and generous. She was always ready with a helping hand or a hug.

She did not want people to mourn her. Her final wishes were that family and friends wear something yellow, have a great meal, and share stories about her.

She is deeply loved, and she will be greatly missed.
