DORIS TOSHIKO YAMATO FUJIMOTO "All that I am and all that I ever hope to be I owe to my angel mother." Doris Toshiko Yamato Fujimoto passed away peacefully in her home on October 18th, 2018. Born in Honokaa, Hawaii, she is survived by her son, Derek, and her daughter, Tricia. Doris began her 42 year career as an English teacher and then as the Curriculum Coordinator at Radford High School. She was the stimulus for developing its six-phased writing program to help students achieve excellence in the written word and was the head of the department for many years. She led by example and was known for her humility, integrity and loving and gracious heart. Despite her career achievements, she would be the first to acknowledge that her greatest fulfillment was in being a mother. Her exceptionally kind and generous spirit will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her.
