KARMELLA HOKUIKILANI JONES

44, of Honolulu, HI, passed away on June 16th, 2018. Hoku was a Botanist in Maine and was raised in Hauula and Honolulu. Like her younger sister Hau’oli Thompson (deceased) they both graduated from Kahuku High School #RRL. She is survived by her husband, Robbie Lee Jones. Mother-in-Law, Ronda (Roland) Kimball, Father- in-Law, Gary (Sandra) Jones; Sister-in-Law, Karin Abbott; Nephew, Logan; Brothers-in-Law: Severan Jones, Justin Thompson and Henry Thompson, Jr. Immediate family: Mother, Jowin (Richard) Carey, Father, Gary (Mikilani) Nihipali Sr.; Sisters; Kolo Carey and Lahela Nihipali. Brothers: Kawe (Wendy) Nihipali, Ikaika Nihipali, Rickey & Raymond Carey; Nephews: Avery & Aizen Thompson. Hoku is also survived by an extended ohana of aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews, and friends who loved her dearly from Honolulu to Maine.
Hoku’s Celebration of Life will be held at 12:30 p.m. on Wednesday, October 31st, 2018. Her ashes will be scattered in Waimanalo, Hawaii at Makapuu, outside of Sea Life Park.
