48, Donovan Bernard Park Soares aka
“Donny”, of Keolu Hills, Kailua, Hawaii was called to Heaven on July 26, 2018 surrounded by his loving family and the
love of his life Danielle. He was born on
December 30, 1969 in beautiful Kailua, Oahu.
Donovan graduated from Kailua High School in 1988 and became a
Certified Auto Mechanic, who had a passion for building things with
engines on wheels. Donny was a genius with cars and especially enjoyed building 4×4 jeeps and trucks and loved to go off-roading up in the majestic mountains of Olomana and Maunawili. He loved vintage race cars, dirt bike riding, and listening to the music of Bob Marley “Legend.” Donovan was a hard worker with extraordinary endurance and stamina. He had a heart of gold, a radiant smile, and a charismatic personality that would light up a room.
Danielle who was the love of his life described Donovan as a strong and handsome man with a beautiful soul. Danielle will forever love him.
Donovan is sadly missed and survived by his mother Virginia Ku’ulei (Andy) Thomas, father Gordon Soares, sister Chivas Kanani (Joseph) Niau, the love of his life Danielle, son Donson Ka’eo Park Soares, niece Hilina’i and nephew Tehiwa Niau. We will carry him in our hearts forever.
A Memorial Service will be held for Donovan to Honor his Life on Saturday, September 15, 2018 at St. George Catholic Church in Waimanalo. Service: 9:00 am, Eulogy: 10:00 am, Mass: 10:30 am, with a Celebration of Life to follow. Burial will be held on Tuesday, September 25, 2018 10:00 am at Hawaiian Memorial Park in Kaneohe.
