Notice to Contractors
Bids will be received electronically up to and publicly opened and read aloud at 2 pm on Monday, Sept 3, 2018 in the office of MC Architects, Inc., 1044 Nuuanu Avenue, Honolulu, Hawaii for:

Plans and specifications will be available on August 3rd in electronic format by accessing the web site at https://app.box.com/s/c89y7gjyifagvl91brt37wzplm09ibc3. All Bidders are directed to access drawings from this web site, download and print as required. All bidders will be responsible for their own printing costs. No deposit will be required for the Bid Drawings.
This project will be funded in part from public sources under:
1) State of Hawaii Grant-in-Aid funding.
Contractor will be required to comply with all the applicable current State and Federal Labor standards in effect at the time the contract is executed.
To be eligible to bid, the prospective bidder must provide written notice of bidder’s intention to bid. The owner’s representative must receive such written notice by Monday, Aug 20th via email at Steve@mc-arch.com. Bidders shall be licensed by the State of Hawaii at the time of Award in accordance with chapter 444, HRS, relating to the licensing of Contractor.
A pre-bid conference and site inspection will be held at 1 pm on Thursday, August 16th on site at 200 Ike Drive in Makawao, Maui. This will be the only opportunity to visit the site during the bid period; therefore attendance at this meeting is encouraged.
All bids shall be accompanied by a bid security of the amount not less than five percent (5%) of the bid amount.
Bidder’s attention is directed to Act 352, SLH 1997, relating to the requirements for tax clearances from State Department of Taxation and the Internal Revenue Service, as a prerequisite to entering into a contract and final payment of contract.
Bidders must receive from the owner appropriate Notice To Proceed approvals before commencing work.
Bidders must demonstrate successful completion of project/s involving State funding (working knowledge of Davis-Bacon wages).
Bidders must demonstrate familiarity and compliance with ADA regulations.
Qualified small and minority business firms and firms owned by women are encouraged to submit bids.
