DOROTHY-ANN J. FOSTER HANCE Dorothy-Ann J. Foster Hance, 86, recently of Kamuela, Hawaii, passed away June 22, 2018 lovingly surrounded by family. Born in Koloa, Kauai on March 12, 1932, she was raised at both Poipu and Kokee on Kauai. She married the love of her life, John "Skip" Hance of Oahu, in 1952 in Lihue, Kauai. They spent 66 years together living where ever Amfac Sugar sent them on Oahu, Kauai, Maui and the Big Island. After retirement, they moved to the Big Island and loved living in Kamuela, which they enjoyed for 25 years. Dottie-Ann was the wife of a Sugar Plantation Trainee turned Manager. Her greatest joy was being with her family. She was the Mother of 6, Grandmother of 18 and Great Grandmother of 12. She was a member of the Daughter’s of Hawaii. Dottie-Ann had a very special place in the hearts of countless people. Her Aloha Spirit, love for family and friends and ability to comfort and support all who needed her will be sorely missed. A private celebration will take place at a later date. Survived by husband, John "Skip" Hance of Keaau; daughters, Linda (Peter) Baldwin of Poipu, Chris Hughes of Chicago, Katherin Nalani Hance of Ahualoa, Julie Hance of Keaau,Tricia (Tony) Cruz of Keaau; son, John "Tom" (Sara) Hance of California; brother, Dan "Chub" (Maria) Foster of California.
