REV. RONALD
R. WILLIAMS

On Sunday June 17, 2018, on what would be his last earthly Father’s Day, Pastor Ron Williams unexpectantly went to meet his Lord & Savior Jesus Christ. Born December 26, 1951 to Mary Maude and Homer Williams in Live Oak, Florida For just shy of 41 years Ron was married to his soul mate Kuulei and for over 48 years they served in ministry beside each other. They raised two amazing sons together, Chad and Luke, and were blessed with 2 beautiful, talented daughters in love, Julie and Lauren and 3 of the most fabulous grandchildren imaginable, Lukas, Aria and Eames. Ron is also survived by his siblings Larry Williams, Patsy McGuire, Judy Hawkins and their families. Ron served in the Marine Corps for 4 years as crew chief on CH53 helicopters out of Tustin, California and worked in outreach ministry through the Christian Services Organization (CSO). Through his time with the CSO Ron felt a calling to serve God through full time ministry and attended seminary in West Covina, and Berkley California. In 1991 Ron was ordained as pastor at 1st Baptist in Center, Colorado. Pastor Ron served in the American Baptist Churches USA, and the United Church of Christ for over 27 years, the last 10 at Community Church of Honolulu and the previous 7 at Central Union Church. He was also most recently serving as Chairperson of the Oahu Association Church & Ministry Council. Ron or "Poppa" (as his grandchildren called him) will be missed by all who knew him. He was a tremendous pastor and speaker, an incredible friend and brother, a wonderful father and mentor, a loving husband and most importantly a faithful follower of Christ.

A Celebration of Life will be held at Community Church of Honolulu on Saturday June 30, 2018, visitation at 10am, service at 11am, with lunch reception to follow. A private family interment service will be held at Punchbowl – National Memorial Cemetery of the Pacific at a later date.
