NOTICE OF AVAILABILITY
RECORD OF DECISION
OLD NAVAL RADIO TRANSMITTING FACILITY LANDFILL, JOINT BASE PEARL HARBOR-HICKAM LUALUALEI ANNEX, OAHU, HAWAII
The Navy announces the signing of a Record of Decision for the Old Naval Radio Transmitting Facility Landfill at Joint Base Pearl Harbor-Hickam, Lualualei Annex, Oahu, Hawaii on March 19, 2018. The site is part of the Naval Computer and Telecommunications Area Master Station Pacific National Priorities List site.
The Navy and the Environmental Protection Agency, with concurrence from the State of Hawaii Department of Health, have selected to implement land use restrictions, and maintain the soil cover and signage at the site to protect public health, welfare, and the environment. This remedy was selected in accordance with the Comprehensive Environmental Response, Compensation, and Liability Act, as amended by the Superfund Amendments and Reauthorization Act, and, to the extent practicable, the National Oil and Hazardous Substances Pollution Contingency Plan and the Office of the President of the United States Executive Order 12580.
