GALE FISHER Gale Fisher Carswell, 78, of Princeville, Kaua’i was called to join the angels on Friday, May 18, 2018. Gale graduated from Punahou School in 1957. She then went on to graduate from The University of the Pacific. Gale was a school teacher and assisted in the family businesses. She was the family’s rock and cheerleader! Gale was married to Donn (Curly) Carswell for 56 years and had four children. Gale’s parents, Margie and Gerald Fisher, and her brother, Chas Fisher preceded her in death. Gale is survived by her husband, Donn (Curly), daughters, Karin and Kelley and sons, Chris and David. She is also survived by her brother Gerald Fisher, Jr and her grandchildren, Reyn Guest, Ryder Guest, Hayden Guest, Kela Haneberg, Kaulana Haneberg, Sophie Carswell and Delaney Carswell, as well as a great grandchild, ‘Anela Kamae Haneberg. Gale was active in her community and sat on the boards of Grove Farm Homestead Museum and Wai’oli Mission House, GN Wilcox Trust, S.W. Wilcox Trust and the Boys and Girls Club of Hawaii. She also loved and advocated for Koke’e. Services will be held on Thursday, June 7, at 4 pm at The Lihue Cemetery with a reception to follow at The Grove Farm Museum Homestead.
