SHIGEO HIGA 92, of Waipahu died suddenly and peacefully at home, February 20, 2018. Born in Paia, Maui, April 16, 1925 to parents Chozen and Goze Higa. Worked for Federal Government on Okinawa as an Assistant Fire Chief, retired in Hawaii 1980. He enjoyed gardening, sports, and was a great handyman. Preceded in death by son Mark (Lynne) Higa and his sister, Yoshiko Shimabukuro. He is survived by wife: Yoshiko Higa; Sons: Earl Higa, Lincoln (Phyllis Smith) Higa and Gerald (Lillian) Higa; Grandsons: Scott and Matthew Higa; Step grandchildren: Mikah, Meiki, Leileen and Pia Rojas; Step great-grandsons: Andrew and Ethan Burgos and Johnathan Escasa; Brothers: Shigeru and Takashi (Karen) Higa; Sisters: Kay Nohara, June Aoki, Sadaye Toma, Kiyoko Yamamoto, and Amy (James) Kishaba.
