HETARO USHIGOME

91, passed away peacefully at the West L.A. Veterans Home on Saturday, April 7, 2018. Hetaro, one of five siblings, was born and raised on the island of Kauai by Yaheiji and Hana (Mugitani) Ushigome. He served in the U.S. Army during World War II and went on to graduate from the University of Hawaii. He made his home in Gardena, California, where he and Asako (Uda) Ushigome raised four children. He is survived by his family, including a granddaughter, Kumi Eloise Gorton.
