GEORGE MUTSUO "KEOKI" IWANE

Passed away peacefully at home at the age of 72. He is preceded in death by his father George Iwane Sr.; mother; Katherine Clemente; brothers Daniel and Frederick "Leon". George is survived by his wife Sandra Iwane; son Jason Iwane; daughter Jody Iwane (Brian) Timm; step children Danny, Chad, Jason, Ernesto and Joycelyn; father Damaso "Clem" Clemente; sister Bernadette Iwane; brothers Derek (Ewa) Iwane, Glenn (Gladys) Clemente; 23 grandchildren; 4 great-grandchildren; numerous nieces, nephews and cousins. George worked as a body-fender man for over 35 years. During that time, he accomplished the following: studied for his GED and in 1992 he received his diploma. He became an instructor at Castle High School teaching body and fender work in which he and his students rebuilt a car for the school musical Grease. He worked for the Windward School for Adults at King Intermediate School teaching body and fender work and was recognized as the "TEACHER OF THE YEAR" in 2007. George was there to offer a helping hand to anyone that needed help, he loved the ocean and enjoyed swimming, diving and fishing. He loved life in general. A Memorial Service will be held at 6:30 pm on Friday, April 13, 2018, at Hawaiian Memorial Park Mortuary, 45-425 Kamehameha Hwy., Kaneohe, HI 96744. Casual Attire
