NOTICE OF PUBLIC INFORMATIONAL MEETING
PAIA RELIEF ROUTE

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the State of Hawaii, Department of Transportation (HDOT), in conjunction with the Federal Highway Administration, has scheduled a Public Informational Meeting regarding proposed roadway improvements to address the existing traffic congestion along the Hana Highway in Paia. The public is invited to this meeting to be held on:

Time: 5:30 pm to 7:30 pm
Place: Paia Community Center
252 Hana Highway, Paia, Maui, HI
A formal presentation is scheduled at 6:00 p.m. The public is encouraged to arrive as soon as 5:30 p.m. to preview the project displays and to provide comments to the project team members. Public comments will also be received after the presentation and by mail-in or through the project website at www.paiareliefroute.com.
This project will develop environmental documentation for a proposed relief route in Paia as required under the National Environmental Policy Act (NEPA), the Hawaii Revised Statutes (HRS) Chapter 343, and other federal and state requirements. The primary purpose of this meeting is to inform the public-at-large about project progress and the proposed new alignment as developed by alternatives analysis. The proposed format is an Open House where posters and display tables present various aspects of the project.
