H-1 FREEWAY TO WEST HIND DRIVE

HONOLULU – The Hawaii Department of Transportation (HDOT) will be holding a Public Information Meeting and Noise Variance Consultation to inform the public of construction work and to solicit input on the project’s proposed night work on the Kalanianaole Highway Resurfacing Project from H-1 Freeway to West Hind Drive. The project’s approximate start date may be as early as June 1, 2018 and major construction activities are expected to be completed within five months.
The project consists of cold planing; repaving; reconstructing weakened pavements areas; replacing loop detectors; upgrading traffic counting stations; adjusting utility manhole frames and covers; installing traffic signal light backplates with retroreflective borders on all overhead traffic signals; and installing milepost reference markers, pavement markings, striping, and signing along Kalanianaole Highway from H-1 Freeway to West Hind Drive.
