CELEBRATION OF LIFE RANDOLPH F. LEONG
Randy Leong, 72, died Monday, January 15, 2018 at Queen’s Medical Center in Honolulu.
He leaves his wife of 49 years, Sonia (Asayama) Leong; his mother Sally (Chun) Leong; three sons Geoff, Erik (Kyoko); and Andrew (Wayna); four sisters, Helene Wong (Ken), Maxine Bosher (Tim), Joan Ukishima and Marianne Soldner; extensive cousins, nephews, nieces and uncles and aunts, in-laws as well as people he has met and helped throughout the years.
Born on August 31, 1945 in Honolulu, Hawaii. He was the only son of Edward and Sally Leong. He attended St. Patrick’s School and graduated from St. Louis High School in 1963. He attended the University of Hawaii, University of Pennsylvania Wharton School for his undergraduate work and University of Santa Clara for Law School where he graduated Magna Cum Laude.
He practiced law for 42 years and was also a real estate broker and continued to help so many people.
His biggest accomplishment was raising three wonderful sons. He spent his life mentoring them, being involved in all their activities and just being present. He sacrificed many of his personal and professional goals to be with his family and friends. Honest to a fault, he helped many people without asking much in return and many remember him for his integrity and Aloha Spirit.
Services to celebrate his life will be held on Saturday, March 3, 2018. Visitation at 10:00 am and services at 11:00 am at Nuuanu Memorial Park and Mortuary, East Chapel. Private inurnment at Diamond Head Memorial Park to follow. Aloha attire.
