MERVYN MAKIA 87, of Waipahu, passed away at home on December 12, 2017. Formally from Kealia, Kona, he retired from Chevron USA in Campbell Industrial Park as a Supervisor. He was also very active in the Waipahu Community and the Leeward Oahu Lions Club. Preceded in death by wife and finally united, Norma Ukie Uemura Ah Tou. Survived by daughter, Evelyn "Evie" Ahlo of Waipahu; grandchildren, Bronson (Denise) Ahlo of Utah & Brandi Ahlo (Denny Benzon) of Waipahu; great grandchildren, Kupa’a, Tia, Diesel & La’i. Brothers; Adrian (Yuri) Ah Tou, Thomas (Viola) Atou, Wilfred Big Boy (Lei) Ah Tou, Samson (Ginny) Ah Tou, Half Brothers, Jesse, Bennett, Alexander, Norman Enos. Many cousins, nieces and nephews. Visitation will be held at Waipahu United Church of Christ; 94-330 Mokuola Street, Waipahu. Saturday, February 10, 2018 from 1pm. Service will start at 2pm, reception to follow at the Church hall.
