LILLIAN LEILANI PARINA 74, departed us December 18, 2017. Her spirit passed into Paradise to blissfully abide till the second coming of Jesus Christ. Steadfast in her faith in God and constant in her love for her `ohana, she will be sadly missed. Lillian was born on December 2, 1943 in Pa`ia, Maui, Hawaii to Alexander McNicoll II and Helen (Park) Pi`imanu. Lillian grew up both on Maui and `O`ahu, Hawaii. She attended Farrington High School in Honolulu, as well as Wai`anae High School. After high school, she began working for various companies such as Woolworth and Hilton Hawaiian Village as a waitress. Lillian also worked at United Airlines in the flight kitchen. After raising her children to school age, Lillian worked for attorney Gary O. Galiher as a receptionist where she finally retired in 2015 after almost 30 years. Lillian married Victor Parina in 1970 in Honolulu, Hawaii. They were happily married for 47 years. Lillian was preceded in death by her father Alexander Boise McNicoll II, step-father Daniel Pi`imanu and older sister Constance (Chris) Kaniho. Lillian is survived by her husband Victor of Wai`anae, Hawaii; her mother Helen Pi`imanu; her children Clinton (Rosalinda) Chai, Tammy (James) Farrington, William Chai, VictorLee Parina, and Kory (Lawrence) Wilson. She was also survived by siblings Coreen (David) Beck, Linda (Keith) Ahue, Alexander (Elizabeth) McNicoll III, Danyette (Mathew) Kaopua, Meleana (Jim) Sibbett, Maylynn (Clyde) Reis, and Jackie (David) St. John. Lillian will also be fondly remembered by her 8 grandchildren and 2 great-grandchildren. Viewing will be held at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, Honolulu, Hawaii, West-Stake Center, 1723 Beckley Street from 8 – 10 a.m. on January 13, 2018 with a memorial service to follow.
