MASUMI MURAKAMI EBISUI Born February 1, 1920 in Pu`uiki, Waialua, Masumi passed away peacefully on November 11, 2017. Preceeded in death by her husband, Edwin A. Ebisui, Sr. and daughter Carol N. Ebisui. Attended Waialua Elementary School, Andrew E. Cox School, Leilehua High School, Margaret Deitz Business School and Honolulu Business School. Bookkeeper for Eddie’s Crane Service, Inc., and operated Haleiwa Marina Concession lunch wagon in the 1970’s and 1980’s where she was known for her ono luau stew, beef and curry stew, sweetsour spareribs, etc.. She also worked in the kitchen of Seaview Inn. She was a lifelong learner and strong supporter of education. Late in life, she went back to school and enrolled in the Women’s program at LCC. She loved her pets, reading, traveling, meeting new people, gardening, sewing and cooking. She is survived by daughter Ellen T. Nemoto, son Edwin A. Ebisui, Jr., daughter Lorelei M. Campbell, 11 grandchildren, 17 great-grandchildren, and 9 great-great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be held on Friday, January 12, 2018 at Mililani Memorial Park in the Mauka Chapel. Visitation at 9:30 a.m.; Service at 10:30 with a short burial service and lunch following.
