LEWIS LOUIE HUNTINGTON HUBBARD 78, passed away peacefully on October 26, 2017, surrounded by family. Born December 16, 1938 in Waialua, Hawaii. He was the second oldest and only son of four children born to Emma (McClellan) and Lewis Hubbard. He attended Kamehameha Schools and graduated in 1956. He then attended the University of Wisconsin-Stout, where he graduated with a bachelors and masters degree in industrial arts education. He worked as an industrial arts and technology teacher and bus driver, with 40 years of service to Kamehameha Schools. He loved his job and enjoyed teaching and mentoring his Hawaiian students. Louie met and married his wife, Barbara (Kobus) in 1969. They made their home in Pupukea, where they raised their two daughters, Lori and Lani. He was very active in the lives of his four grandchildren. He is predeceased by his loving wife, Barbara Ann (Kobus) Hubbard. Survived by daughters, Lori M. (Siaosi) Saelua, Lani K. Hubbard & Scott Humber; sister, Lela Hubbard; grandchildren, Ka’ena Humber, Kaleo Humber, Jodi Saelua, Josh Saelua. Celebration for Louie will be held on Saturday, November 25, 2017 at Mililani Memorial Park Mauka Chapel. Visitation 5:30pm, services commencing at 6:30pm. Aloha Attire. No flowers, but lei welcome to adorn a lei tree.
