JANET JANE KIM LUN GAISON Janet "Jane" Kim Lun Gaison, 87, of Waipahu, Hawai’i, passed away on October 23, 2017 at Tripler Army Medical Hospital. Jane was born on August 5, 1930 in Kalihi, Honolulu and was raised there with her parents and nine siblings. She was the second youngest child of Mary and Yuen You Kam and a proud graduate of Roosevelt High School in 1948. She lived in Alaska, Colorado, New Jersey, Washington, and California before returning to Hawai’i. She spent her years supporting her Master Sergeant husband, William, as a military homemaker and lovingly raising her four children. She worked briefly as a substitute teacher and teacher aide, as well as a Customer Service Clerk at Sears, Roebuck & Company. Jane is survived by her daughters Jill (Wayne) Gaison-Ganiko and Jana (Wayne) Gaison-Terukina, brother Robert Kam, six grandchildren, nine great-grandchildren, three great-great-grandchilden, and numerous nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her husband, William Kamahalo Gaison, her eldest daughter, Janet Baricar, and youngest daughter, Jodi Gaison. Memorial and tribute services will be held on Sunday, November 12, 2017 from 9:00 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. at the Borthwick Mortuary, Mauka Chapel, 1330 Maunakea St., Honolulu, Hawai’i. Burial will be on Monday, November 13, 2017 at 11:30 a.m. at the National Memorial Cemetery of the Pacific (Punchbowl).
