IRIS ELAINE (MOROWITZ) WILEY Iris Elaine (Morowitz) Wiley, passed away September 12, 2017. Born in Poughkeepsie, New York, she lived for more than 50 years in her adopted and beloved Honolulu, Hawaii. A graduate of Brandeis University, Iris worked first in Israel and was a transcriber during the trial of Adolph Eichmann. She then worked in New York before moving to Honolulu where she worked as an editor at the University of Hawaii Press for most of her adult career. In 1968, she married William Wiley and they were married for 44 years before his death in 2012. She was active in the community, serving on the board of the Friends of the Library of Hawaii. A memorial service is being planned for January. She leaves a niece, Michal Regunberg, and nephews Eli, Joshua, Zachary, and Noah Morowitz and nine great nieces and nephews.
