"SUE" HUI SUN BUMGARNER 64, of Las Vegas, Nevada, lost her battle with cancer and passed away surrounded by her family on May 24th, 2017 at University Medical Center in Las Vegas. Born February 25, 1953 in Daejon, South Korea, she immigrated to the United States in 1971 and was happily married to Ronald Bumgarner for 47 years. A hard working home maker, wonderful mother and loving grandmother she loved to cook for family, friends and neighbors. Some of her most popular dishes included spam fried rice, spicy pork, fried chicken and lasagna. But her most requested dish was her homemade kimchee. Everyone who had the chance to try it always said it was the best that they had eaten. After becoming a US Citizen in 1978, her passion was to demonstrate her love of this country by participating in every election she was eligible for. Whether in California, Texas, Missouri, Hawaii or Nevada she looked forward to each day that she could make her voice count. She is survived by her husband, Ronald of Las Vegas, Nevada, her two sons, Wayne and Roy of Honolulu, Hawaii, three grandchildren, Payton, Kenzo and Koji, daughter-in- law, Jennifer and brothers, Hui Man Pak and Hui Myoung Pak of South Korea. A celebration and remembrance of her life will be held on Sunday, August 6th 2017 from 3:00 6:00 P.M. at Ke’ehi Lagoon Memorial Park located at 2685 North Nimitz Hwy.
