PHYLLIS TAKAKO BHATTACHARYYA Phyllis, 89, of Honolulu, died at Queen’s Medical Center on 21 July 2017. She was born in Wahiawa. After studying nursing in Chicago, she worked in a rural clinic at a Gandhian ashram in India for 6 yrs. While there, she met and married her husband, Nana (who died 5 years ago). Throughout her adventurous life, Phyllis loved God, lived her convictions, and demonstrated unconditional love for everyone. She is survived by her son Eesha, daughter Swasti, 3 grandchildren (Jaime, Bailey, & Kennedy), and sister Sylvia Eorio. Visitation: 3 p.m. on Sun. 6 Aug 2017 at the Waimanalo Seventh-day Adventist Church, 41-592 Poalima St. in Waimanalo. Service at 4 p.m. followed by a fellowship dinner.
