JAMES KIYOSHI YOGI Early in the morning of January 22, 2020, James went to our Lord at the age of 82. He passed away at the Na Koa Healthcare home in Aiea and was also under hospice care by Malama Ola. James was born on December 25, 1937 in Wailuku, Maui to parents, Seichi Yogi and Chiyoko Higa. He attended Pauoa, Lanakila and Kuhio Elementary Schools; Washington Intermediate; Kaimuki High and graduated from Farrington in 1955. He also attended the University of Hawaii. He was a veteran of the U.S. Air Force and was employed by the Typewriter Shop and retired from Honolulu Plumbing and the City and County of Honolulu, Parks and Recreation Dept. James was a member of Plumbers and Fitters United Association Local 675 and Aza Gushikawa Doshi Kai. James is survived by his wife of 59 years, Kay Taone Yogi; daughters, Angela (James Poyo, Jr.) and Ramona; five grandchildren; sisters, Patsy (Walter) Zukemura, Doris (Norman Goo) Worl, Diane Brown; brothers, Philip (Soon) Worl and Bruce Worl. He is preceded in death by his brother, Kenneth. Celebration of Life at Hosoi Garden Mortuary on Thursday, February 27, 2020 at 11:00 a.m.; visitation from 10:00 a.m. No flowers. Casual attire.
