GWEN HIROMI MATSUNAGA SHIROMA Gwen Hiromi Matsunaga Shiroma, of Moanalua and Waianae, died peacefully on July 28, 2019. She was 61. Gwen was born in Honolulu,the fourth of six children of Jane and the late George Matsunaga. She graduated from Moanalua High School in 1976. Employed at Foodland Super Market for 38 years. She and her husband Bryson Shiroma are members of New Hope Oahu. Gwen is survived by her mother, Jane Matsunaga; brothers, Mark (Karen L.), Owen (Karen K.) Lyle (Cindy) of Wailuku Maui, and Ivan (Terri) Matsunaga of Darien, Illinois; sister, Emma Matsunaga (Daniel) Siu; mother- in-law Betty Shiroma; sister-in-law, Doreen (Leroy) Mero; and her cherished nieces, nephews, grand- nieces and grandnephews. Visitation 9 a.m. Saturday, September 21, 2019, at Hosoi Garden Mortuary. Memorial service 10 a.m. No flowers. Private inurnment at Hawaiian Memorial Park.
