WAIAWA NAVY WATERLINE PROJECT

Hawaiian Dredging Construction Company (HDCC), Inc., on behalf of the Naval Facilities Engineering Command (NAVFAC) Hawaii, will start the Waiawa Navy Waterline Project for Joint Base Pearl Harbor-Hickam on July 23, 2019. This project includes the installation of a potable water transmission main and two smaller lines.

The transmission waterline will extend from the northern-end of Waihona Street, and tie into the existing water main near Lehua Avenue. It will replace the existing transmission main, originally installed in 1953, which has reached the end of its useful life.

This project will ensure the Joint Base Pearl Harbor-Hickam and military family housing continues to receive potable water and fire protection in the future. The anticipated completion date for the project is November 2021.

Construction of the transmission line will begin at the top of Waihona Street, Pearl City. Typically, work hours will be from 8:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m., Monday through Friday, except holidays. Note: Hours of work are subject to change dependent upon the location and type of work being performed.

Residents and motorists near the project site are asked to observe all traffic signs, anticipate/plan for possible delays, and drive with caution.

Project updates will be available, 24/7, at www.waiawanavywaterline.com. All interested members of the public may signup to receive automatic project updates. HDCC and NAVFAC Hawaii will make every effort to provide timely project information to the local community throughout this project.

Please direct all questions or concerns during to the Waiawa Navy Waterline Project Team, (808) 392-1617, during normal working hours, or anytime via email to info@waiawanavywaterline.com
